Johan Woest Senior - Johannesburg North Regional Character & MENtor
​
I’m married to the love of my life..…Mandie for 33 years, have a married son and daughter, a granddaughter and another grandchild on its way.
​
I’ve been mentoring/discipling men for the last 25 years, the last 12 year on a full-time basis.
Our heart as a family is the restoration of the family. We all have a intimate and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and I have a passion for the Word of God.
Jean-Marc Rougier - MENtor

I am married to Megan and have a beautiful daughter Isabella of 6 months old.
I am a Sports Coordinator at a private primary/ pre-primary school and teach PE and Life orientation. I am passionate about children and sport. I coach many sports aswell as own my own swim school.
My dream has always been to be a father and the out doors and nature is where im the happiest. I have a passion for off road motorbikes and have been a mentor since September 2019 and look forward to affecting a positive change in all the boys I have a privilege mentoring in the Character company.

Hekkie van der Westhuizen - MENtor

I am a God-fearing husband to Marilé and proud father of Henri (17) and Chris (15). I am a director at SALDaTI, where we focus on Leadership Development and Training. I love reading, spending time in the bush, family time, exercising and I am also a keen motorcyclist.
I am a member of the Word Riders, which is the motorcycling ‘leg’ of the Bible Society of South Africa where we have the privilege to spread the Word of God on motorcycles, also to less privileged rural children during an annual tour that we do to different parts of our beautiful country.

I love children, our country and its people, and I try to make a lasting positive impact on the people around me, which includes the boys that I am privileged to MENtor.
Donovan Stowe - MENtor

I am married to my amazing wife Claudette, I have an amazing daughter and her old brother my son. I love the outdoors and being close to the nature God so amazingly created for us to enjoy. Jesus is my absolute everything and for his glory, honour and service I dedicate my life.
I love running and keeping fit, my goal is to be led by my Almighty father in bringing change to the lives of young men as we venture into the journey that the Lord has set before us. May his will be done in the lives of those who I am honoured to serve and walk this journey with, May we give God all the glory in doing so.
Bongani Khumalo - MENtor
I am a married man blessed with a supportive wife and 4 children. I grew up in Ladysmith in KZN where I began my schooling until I matriculated in 1994. Soon after completing my matric I began my retail career where I spent 19 years as a branch manager. Some of the companies I was blessed to work for include Edcon, JDGroup, Ok Furnitures just to mention a few.

Big part of my life and my upbringing in the farm has always been to serve God, this course was fulfilled when I was ordained as a Priest in 2010. I serve in multiple portfolios at church and this include being the founder of Brother Indaba Committee where we groom young men to be responsible citizens as they grow.

Joining the Character Company has given me more meaning in ensuring that we develop responsible young men through MENtorship.
Keith Haines - Johannesburg Sub-North Regional Character & MENtor
Keith is married to Joan and they have two sons. He has always lived in Johannesburg. After spending most of his working life in the pharmaceutical industry, he diverted to become a business coach and explore other opportunities.
​
In 1973, he met his Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ after attending a Youth for Christ rally. Soon after his conversion, he started a coffee bar for young teens in the Bramley Methodist Church, which developed into a youth church. He has always had a passion for teaching as he watch his boys develop into young men. Later, he lead the Men’s Group at Bryanston Bible Church and currently leads a Gospel Community in Ferndale.

Since around 2009, the idea of reaching out to boys without fathers was germinating in his mind and in 2019, he discovered that someone had beaten him to do it. It was an obvious choice to join The Character Company. Keith’s two boys will testify to him being an involved dad with a love for the Lord; someone who could not resist using every opportunity to help them learn of the world around them, and of the Lord Jesus Christ. His motto was always “Be adventurous. Don’t be reckless and remain respectful”. He loves outdoors, being creative with wood and spending time in the Bible as well as with his family.
Fadzai Chakacha - MENtor
I am Fadzai Chakacha, also known to most as Chaks. I am passionate about the things of God and growing a stronger relationship with Him. I am a husband to one beautiful wife and loving father to two daughters. I am an IT Support Guru and always up for a challenge especially about what I can do with my hands.

I am a serving member of Faith Hill church in Johannesburg and passionate about serving others as I serve the Lord. My hope is to be able to share the goodness of God with young people and the benefits thereof.
Knowledge is power and what better way but to help young boys learn good values and have an intimate relationship with God.
Francois Joubert - MENtor

Francois Joubert is a serial entrepreneur, speaker, business strategist, husband and father. Francois has more than 15 years business experience and his interests include Education, Professional Services, Mobile Apps and Business Networking Clubs.
​
He has appeared on major news media networks like CNBC and was interviewed on various radio shows. Through motivational speaking and business coaching, Francois uses his life and business experience to help his clients achieve exceptional business results.
​
His personal vision is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need and aims to leave a legacy of significance.
Wade Bothwell - MENtor

I married my high school sweetheart and best friend, Kerry, in 2011 after being together for 8 years. We have been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, Addison and Mckenzie, and my eldest son, Tyler.
I am the middle son, of 3, brought up in a God-fearing house by parents who instilled a love for Christ in all 3 of us. My father set the very high benchmark of the father and role-model I want to be, not just to my 3 children, but also to the boys entrusted to me.
I have an Honours degree, am a CFA Charterholder and worked as an equity derivatives trader at a major bank for 10 years, before starting my own business servicing the traders that I once was. This has given me the ability and freedom to invest more of my time to advance His kingdom.
