Hekkie van der Westhuizen  - Regional Character & MENtor

I am a God-fearing husband to Marilé and proud father of Henri and Chris . I am a director at SALDaTI, where we focus on Leadership Development and Training. I love reading, spending time in the bush, family time, exercising and I am also a keen motorcyclist.

I am a member of the Word Riders, which is the motorcycling ‘leg’ of the Bible Society of South Africa where we have the privilege to spread the Word of God on motorcycles, also to less privileged rural children during an annual tour that we do to different parts of our beautiful country.

I love children, our country and its people, and I try to make a lasting positive impact on the people around me, which includes the boys that I am privileged to MENtor.

Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to be a father. I know it's probably not the easiest task, but I think it is definitely an honour to walk a long road with someone, be present and watch them grow and that is exactly what I am looking forward to with these boys

Moses Moleofe - MENtor

I have a diploma in nursing and have been working as a psychiatric nurse all my life.

I am a father of two daughters and a son. I am a God-fearing, family orientated man who is passionate about community upliftment and moral regeneration.

My hobbies include watching and coaching soccer. I run a soccer team of under 8 years. I have worked in the UK for 5 and half years and consider myself a global citizen after being exposed to many cultures.

Joshua is an animator at Wondermerk Studios in Linden and has been an animator for a few years now.

He has a lot of respect for The Character Company in making a difference in the lives of young men and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with these boys is so important, especially in the youth of today as so many values have been lost.

His reason for becoming a MENtor is to be a positive male role model for boys who need one. He has been blessed to have had a few great role models and MENtors in his life and felt that he is able to share that and serve these boys to become men in Christ.
