We won a BOY award!

The Character Company was approached by the Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ROCCI) earlier this year and nominated for a BOY Award! Whilst we are all about BOYS, this B.O.Y. is really something special – it’s the annual Business of the Year Award.

ROCCI & First National Bank have identified and acknowledged a number of local businesses who have achieved success and who truly embody the spirit of enterprises. With 31 years of unsurpassed growth in the Business of the Year Awards, ROCCI honours businesses whose hard work and innovations have created successful business ventures, elevating them in recognition of these achievements.

The Annual Business of the Year Awards is recognised as one of the most prestigious business events on the Roodepoort calendar.

The Character Company was invited to meet with the judges in August and introduce them to the organisation, sharing how we positively impact families, communities and society at large via a long term, activities based, 5-Values MENtorship programme for young boys growing up with absent fathers and/or positive male role models.

Later in September, we were notified that we were one of the nominees of the ROCCI/FNB Business of the Year Award 2017. We attended the lavish Awards Dinner at the Silverstar Casino where The Character Company was awarded a Gold recognition for Community Support. For the entire team at TCC, receiving this award has us walking taller! We are immensely proud of this recognition and are grateful for the participation and support we receive from our Directors, MENtors, Donors, Moms and Boys. We have only reached this milestone because of your commitment to raising boys to be good men.
